Peralta Road was our first foray into State Trust Land – which is an abundant resource in Arizona. You can order a permit for $20 online, print it out, and you’re ready to go! It’s good for 14 days a year – but frankly, we didn’t see anyone checking permits and we saw several people who appeared to be staying long term.
Peralta Road is about 30 minutes outside of Apache Junction, and Lee and I were in heaven there. It’s not difficult to find a space away from other campers, and the desert views and the desert flora are exquisite here! Lots of great hiking around, and, of course, the Superstition Mountains are close by. The wifi was more than sufficient for us to keep all our ZOOM appointments.
As with BLM land, it’s always wise to check out the condition of roads and the availability of turn-around spots before bringing your rig in. Also, be sure to check the weather. This is not someplace you want to be camping when a burst of rain comes through and makes it impassable.
I don’t say this about many products, but I LOVE this stuff! Artistry Ideal Radiance CC Cream covers my emerging age spots without giving me that caked up look. In fact, it adds a little glow while providing a whopping SPF 50! It’s made with custom Pearl Protein Extract to give you bright, natural-looking coverage. What they’re calling a Multi-Dimensional Finishing Complex really does deliver amazing color-correction!
